   It's a twisted world isn't it?   
Where all can be anything, and none can be nothing.  Where beauty brings horror, and fear breeds love.  
When thought and mind and strength of control can only try, never do.

Finding Me 
   I want to be alone, but the pain still finds me.   
It rakes my side with knives, with its scarred fangs and hate.  Pouring fire up and down my body, through me,  in me, all around me, and never letting go. I'm holding on  for all I can, I'm trying to make it stop, but it never lets up.   
Hit the floor, lying there, hope for more  than pain and still more agony.  Now get back up and bear it through.  That's all there is.

Hi everyone,

Just stopping in really quickly to drop an update here. No, I'm sorry, no antics, no humour, just business. My absence from dA will be a bit longer still.

This morning, my cousin was killed as his bus collided with a truck while he was travelling in Syria. He was rushed to hospital, but he soon died in the ICU.

His mom and little brother were visiting me here in Canada, and now my aunt (his mom) is getting a grievance flight overseas as soon as she can, while I'm at home taking care of the many many phone calls we're getting.

Today just isn't my day.

You think, it could never happen to me, it'll never happen to my family. People only die in the movies, people only write about death.

But it hits home, and resonates.

I hope I can get back to dA once more sometime in the future. Look for me in the fall, I hope.

  • Favourite cartoon character: Bucky Katt from "Get Fuzzy"
  • Personal Quote: The past shows us the time that you can never get back, never reclaim. Time gone. Forever.
  • Tools of the Trade: Nikon CoolPix 5700, Olympus OM-2 SLR (circa 1975), Photoshop 7 & CS (I like v7 better)
